ORCHESTER ACADEMY – INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTRA TRAINING RESIDENCIES

75 participants of orchestra academy have been selected through auditions: musicians 18 –28 years of age who are at the end of their formal education and are looking for professional jobs/opportunities. 7 professors mentored and tutored young musicians through the sectional and individual rehearsals. The programmes included some most significant compositions of the symphonic orchestra literature of the 19th and 20th century. Among symphonic music written by geniuses Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, Verdi and Wagner this season we focused on some most valuable operatic works. Conductors were Živa Ploj Peršuh from Slovenia and Carlo Rizzari from Italy. Soprano Urška Breznik and Tenor Aljaž Farasin from Slovenija joined in for the inspiring Madama Butterfly duets. For the immense programme we spent 13 days – 102 hours of rehearsals.
