As part of the Ljubljana Festival, the ensemble of young musicians will present the music of the artistic Kranj\u010dan family, and will also perform excerpts from Holst's suite The Planets and Danz\u00f3n No. 2 by the Mexican composer Arturo M\u00e1rquez.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row-full-width vc_clearfix\"><\/div><div id=\"ut-row-6aecf6aa49641\" data-vc-full-width=\"true\" data-vc-full-width-init=\"false\" class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_column-gap-0 ut-row-6aecf6aa4964a\" ><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\" ><div id=\"ut_inner_column_6aecf6aa49bab\" class=\"vc_column-inner\" ><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\r\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p><span id=\"dc-kw-match-466\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">The Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0under the artistic direction of its founder and conductor\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-537\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>\u00a0has been bringing together aspiring young musicians aged between 12 and 22 since 2019. Among their most notable performances was their participation in the international orchestral marathon of national youth orchestras from around the world. It was also one of the 14 orchestras that performed at the climate conference in Glasgow, where they played Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons, algorithmically altered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>The orchestra has become a full member of the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras\u00a0<em>(EFNYO),<\/em>\u00a0which is a great recognition of their work and achievements to date.\u00a0<em>EFNYO<\/em>\u00a0with its 36 members, provides a platform for the exchange of expertise and experience in music training, music performance, audience engagement, international mobility and intercultural dialogue among the leading national and international youth orchestras in Europe, the orchestra said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>&#8220;This year we will be preparing a programme with the Krajn\u010dan family, steeped in music and art. Besides the fact that the parents, Lojze and Romana, are respected musicians who have been helping to shape the Slovenian music scene for decades, it is extremely inspiring to follow the paths of their sons Kristijan and \u017digan&#8221;, said\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-1717\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">The common thread of the Kranj\u010dan family's performance is Lojze Kranj\u010dan, the author of all the arrangements. Romana will perform four songs, including the &#8220;almost folk song&#8221; Huda mravljica. The elder son Kristijan, a cellist and drummer, will play, among other things, Lojze's arrangement of the Slovenian folk song Zeleni Jurij.
