They will present a varied programme prepared in collaboration with the Krajn\u010dan artistic family.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row-full-width vc_clearfix\"><\/div><div id=\"ut-row-6aecf6d3158af\" data-vc-full-width=\"true\" data-vc-full-width-init=\"false\" class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_column-gap-0 ut-row-6aecf6d3158b8\" ><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\" ><div id=\"ut_inner_column_6aecf6d315e5c\" class=\"vc_column-inner\" ><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\r\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">Youth orchestras \u2013 such as, internationally, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra \u2013 are devoted to dynamic music-making, inspiring enthusiasm for music and for art in general, forging friendships and helping young musicians progress. Since 2019 Slovenia, too, has had <span id=\"dc-kw-match-859\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">The Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>, which brings together young people aged between 12 and 22. Under the artistic direction of its founder, conductor\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-988\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>\u00a0were\u00a0<em>SMO<\/em>\u00a0performed at the International Orchestra Marathon of national youth orchestras from around the world, and was also one of 14 orchestras which, at the high-profile climate conference in Glasgow\u00a0<em>(COP26)<\/em>\u00a0as part of the international initiative Vivaldi: (Uncertain) Four Seasons, performed an algorithmically altered version of Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. Each year their varied programmes are prepared during a multi-day summer residency\u00a0<em>(POK<\/em> \u2013 Summer Orchestra Camp) under the guidance of leading professional orchestral musicians, and are then performed publicly at the end of the gathering. This time the programme will feature members of the Krajn\u010dan artistic family, and the concert will also include works by the English composer Gustav Holst and the Mexican composer Arturo M\u00e1rquez.<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>This was discussed at a press conference in the Knights' Hall of Kri\u017eanke, where the orchestra and the programme were presented. Speakers included the conductor, artistic director and founder <span id=\"dc-kw-match-1953\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-1971\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>, vocalist Romana Krajn\u010dan, cellist and drummer Kristijan Krajn\u010dan and vocalist and dancer \u017digan Krajn\u010dan; they were later joined by composer, arranger and conductor Lojze Krajn\u010dan.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"dc-kw-match-2235\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">The Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0is artistically directed by its founder and conductor\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-2306\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>, who is also a conductor at\u00a0<em>SNG<\/em>\u00a0Opera in balet Ljubljana with a broad operatic and symphonic repertoire, and who is also delighted to lead projects in a range of genres. Many of her projects aim to raise Slovenia's profile and to bring young people from all over the world together in Slovenia. She collaborates with world-renowned soloists and numerous foreign institutions within the project\u00a0<em>EU<\/em>\u00a0Music up close network: the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the national orchestras of Lille, Amsterdam and Barcelona, the Belgrade and Sarajevo Philharmonics, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Ljubljana Festival and others. She is convinced that it is important to pass on artistic knowledge and skills to young people, especially in classical music of all periods and genres, which is why she gathers around her the most capable and most acclaimed musicians from Slovenia and around the world and brings them to Ljubljana. She is also the founder and artistic director of\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-3215\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">of the Ljubljana International Orchestra<\/span> and of the Triple Bridge European Career Centre for Artists.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"dc-kw-match-3353\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>\u00a0presented in more detail the 75-member\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-3422\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">The Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>, who will be joined by several Ukrainian musicians. Each year they perform a special programme with a strong emphasis on Slovenian music, so this year the spotlight will be on members of the Slovenian musical Krajn\u010dan family \u2013 all four of them \u2013 who will present music in all its dimensions, as the conductor put it.
