This time we reach to the very edge of the war in Ukraine and, at the same time, to the centre of Thursday\u2019s events at the Ljubljana Festival.<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>Our guest is\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-1099\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>, conductor\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-1144\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>, in which some young Ukrainian musicians are also taking part this time, and which, through her efforts and those of her colleagues and their immediate action after the aggression against Ukraine, enabled more than a hundred young Ukrainians \u2013 members of their youth symphony corps \u2013 and some of their companions to withdraw to safety in Slovenia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>For Thursday\u2019s concert, which will take place at the Kri\u017eanke Summer Theatre as part of the 70th Ljubljana Festival,\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-1609\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">The Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0has prepared an interesting programme, devised by the conductor and her colleagues in collaboration with the versatile and, above all, musically exceptionally creative Kranj\u010dan family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>This, dear listeners, is another programme in this year\u2019s rather curtailed A propos series, which, in the hope that the COVID-19 pandemic is now over, we have titled Culture for a Full Recovery. In financial terms, we have based the project \u2013 or rather, what remained of it after the now former team at the Ministry of Culture ensured that we were left without the support we had expected through the so-called media call for proposals \u2013 on the goodwill of a number of supporters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>The programme, in which our guest is the artistic director and conductor\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-2355\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-2373\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span>, was produced with the understanding and help of Vzajemna zavarovalnica.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>Incidentally, and right at the end \u2013 although this question would belong in the central part of the programme, where we discuss the conditions for the life and work of young Ukrainian musicians in Slovenia \u2013 there is also the status of these young people with regard to health insurance, to which they are entitled as applicants for international protection. The formal procedures relating to their rights in this respect are, however, rather complicated in our country and take far too long.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>Who these young musicians are and what they know and are capable of \u2013 some of them also play in the ensemble\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-2999\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0\u2013 you can see for yourself this Thursday at Kri\u017eanke, at a concert that will be more than an ordinary musical performance by promising symphonic players, the future masters and virtuosos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dc-text-paragraph\">\n<p>The creators of Thursday\u2019s concert, or more precisely the musical and staged event, are, alongside\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-3261\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">the Slovenian Youth Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0under the direction of conductor\u00a0<span id=\"dc-kw-match-3302\" class=\"dc-kw-match\">\u017diva Ploj Per\u0161uh<\/span> , Lojze Krajn\u010dan as composer and arranger, singer Romana Krajn\u010dan, Kristijan Krajn\u010dan on cello and drums, and \u017digan Krajn\u010dan with singing and dance.
