ALARM / H2SO4 CONCERT FOR CLIMATE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE
7 of June 2022
What we did with this concert at the Festival Ljubljana venue Križanke Open-Air Theater was HUGE. The message was clearly powerful, and it touched many people present at the concert. We are grateful to be able to raise the most acute topics in the great company of like-minded performers.
The unique concept firstly celebrated nature with The (Uncertain) Four Seasons which is an algorithmic re-composition of Vivaldi’s most famous work and predicted its dissonant future if we don’t act now. Maja Horvat you absolutely rocked with your magnetism and skill on the violin. The second part of the concert celebrated youth, young people’s minds and hearts, and Slovene rebellion poetry interpreted and re-written by Masayah and @Hugo Smeh – Hyu. Many other young Slovenian rappers supported the performance with their wit, boldness, and open-minded collaboration.
Not every day one can see and listen to the perfect mixture of contemporary classical music and symphonic rap. Not every day do you see people being strongly drawn to the genre they would never listen to in their day-to-day lives.
So very happy the audience (from 12 to 85) appreciated it too.
Music connects. Music opens minds. Music makes us tolerant and humble. Music is life.
Grateful once again to:
UNICEF Slovenija for all extra work and determination
Festival Ljubljana for all your support and help
Luna \TBWA for being really fast and communication magic
