Overview of Successes in 2024 and Gratitude to Sponsors

In a year when ART BSA celebrated 21 years of creativity and career development, we exceeded expectations, redefined cultural horizons, and strengthened our mission: to develop musical creativity and support career advancement while contributing to contemporary Slovenian and European culture. 

Flourishing on Domestic and International Stages 

• Winter Festival in Ljubljana: The season began with a performance by SMO featuring Rok Zaletel Černoš, the first Slovenian to perform at the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. His interpretation surpassed all expectations, proving that classical music can be both relevant and exciting for modern audiences. 

• European Student Orchestra Festival in Münster Our orchestra received a standing ovation for the performance of Beethoven's Eroica, a testament not only to our artistic excellence but also to SMO's growing international reputation. 

• International Tour in Romania: A series of performances at renowned festivals Vara Magica and Enescu and the World of Music expanded our international influence. Broadcasts on Romanian national television and radio further reinforced our global presence. 

Leaders in Education and Mentorship 

• Summer Orchestra Camp (POK): This programme brought together 106 young talents who, under the guidance of acclaimed experts, explored the breadth of their musical abilities. The camp not only develops musical skills but also provides invaluable experiences in collaboration and performance. 

• Summer Festival Ljubljana: naš poletni koncert v Križankah z izjemnim solističnim nastopom baskitarista in skladatelja Laurija Porre je kot moderator vodil Marcel Štefančič, jr. Program je predstavil nepozabne filmska melodije ter ob tem povezal generacije. Dogodek je bil razprodan, kar poudarja sposobnost SMO, da pritegne in navduši široko publiko. 

Pioneering Projects and Expanding Accessibility 

• Tour Classical Artač: With over 6.000 attendees across 16 concerts in 13 locations, including sold-out performances, SMO's tour across Slovenia demonstrated how classical music can be combined with humour to reach a broader audience. Exceptional talents Tilen Artač and Jure Godler contributed significantly to this highly acclaimed tour. 

• Viral Success: Our innovative performance of the song "Pazi s kime spavaš" garnered over one million views on Instagram, showcasing the wide appeal and popularity of our projects in the digital age. 

Media Impact and Strategic Partnerships 

With over 310 media mentions and four television reports in 2024, we ensured our work and achievements were widely recognised throughout the region. Support from key partners, including Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d. and Eles d.o.o., enabled us to successfully implement our ambitious projects.
