Sodelovanje z Urošem Lajovicem in Jožetom Kotarjem

Through this programme and this collaboration, we have introduced the members of the Ljubljana International Orchestra to the best and most prolific artists and performers from Slovenia. First of all, we have included two excellent works by living and extremely prolific Slovenian composers. Lojze Lebič is undoubtedly one of the most important voices of his (post-war) generation, not only as a composer, but also as an intellectual. Vito Žuraj is the leading composer of the younger generation, who has time and again successfully linked the Slovenian tradition with the European centres of contemporary music. Conductor Uroš Lajovic and clarinettist Jože Kotar are leading Slovenian interpreters. Their contribution to this programme demonstrates their deep understanding and commitment to both Slovenian compositions. Both are active performers of many novelties by Slovenian composers.
