Eurail and ART BSA work together to promote more sustainable travel for young musicians in Europe

EU project "Sounds of Change" brings young musicians together for greener travel and inspiring performances across Europe

Ljubljana, Slovenia - Eurail, the company that provides travel passes for exploring Europe by train, has teamed up with ART BSA, a Slovenian cultural organisation and partner of the EU project Sounds of Change, to promote green and sustainable travel for young classical musicians across Europe.

Starting point of collaboration is the EU-funded project "Sounds of Change" that has brought together young musicians from all across Europe. The project is a shining example of how we can create positive change in the world while promoting culture and collaboration. By inspiring young musicians to take action towards a more sustainable future, we are not only helping to protect our planet but also empowering the next generation of leaders to create a better world for all. All the inspiring performances and green travel experiences will be possible through the support of Eurail. The Sounds of Change project is focused on promoting sustainability and cross-cultural collaboration to reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainability.

The goal of the collaboration is to provide participating musicians of the "Sounds of Change" EU-project with the opportunity to travel with a 7-day travel pass (within one month). Musicians who travel up to 1,000km must travel by train, while those who travel more than 1,000km and would like to have a pass are encouraged and invited to seize the opportunity.

The "Sounds of Change" partners are Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa from Portugal, Internationales Musik Festival Koblenz from Germany, Noletia from Spain, Serbian National Theatre from Serbia, and ART BSA from Slovenia. The president of ART BSA, Tomo Peršuh, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying "This project is a unique opportunity for young musicians to meet, connect, and learn from each other while promoting a sustainable future through culture and music."

Music is a universal language that brings people together, and this collaboration will enable young musicians to travel sustainably and connect with each other through their passion for music. The collaboration supports the idea that even small changes in our daily routines, such as choosing to travel by train, can have a significant impact on the environment.
