Živa Ploj Peršuh is a conductor of the younger generation, who is making a name for herself both on the concert stage and by conducting music-scene works.
In 2019, in collaboration with foreign and domestic partners, she founded the Slovenian Youth Orchestrawhich has become an important part of the Slovenian programming offer. Three years after the founding of the orchestra, she embarked on the humanitarian project Music for the Future, which was motivated by the war situation in Ukraine, and her motto was to help with music, not with weapons. Together with her life companion, she helped to evacuate and integrate 142 young Ukrainian musicians who had moved to Ljubljana and integrated into life in Slovenia. They formed a symphony orchestra which performed in Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Germany and elsewhere. The main supporter of this project, which among other things raised money for the families of the young musicians, was the renowned Latvian violinist Gidon Kremer, who joined Živi Ploj Peršuh pridružil na koncertu v Ljubljani.
