Violinist Gregory Ahss began playing the violin at the age of five at the Gnessin Music School in his native Moscow. He continued his studies at the Israel Conservatory of Music, the Tel-Aviv Academy of Music and the New-England Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Lena Mazor, Irena Svetlova and Donald Weilerstein. He received a scholarship from the American-Israeli Cultural Foundation. While still a student, Gregory founded the Tal Piano Trio, which has won numerous awards. As a soloist, Gregory has appeared with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Yannick Nezet Seguin and Daniel Blendulf, and has played with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Mozart Orchestra of Bologna and the Camerata Salzburg. He is concertmaster of these orchestras.

His partners in chamber ensembles include Natalia Gutman, Sabine Meyer, Gautier Capuçon, Valentin Erben, Daniel Hope and Konstantin Pfiz, among others.

Gregory regularly appears as guest concertmaster with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Bamberg Symphony, the Bavarian Symphony, the West German Radio Koeln Orchestra, the Orchestra of the National Academy of St Cecilia in Rome and the Mozart Orchestra. Gregory was Concertmaster of the Gustav Mahler Chamber Orchestra from 2005 to 2011 and is Concertmaster of the Camerata Salzburg and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra.

Cellist Konstantin Pfiz studied with Georg Faust in Berlin, with David Strange at the Royal Academy of Music in London and with Harvey Shapiro at Juilliard in New York. From 1997 to 2011 he was solo cellist in the Gustav Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and since 2014 he has been Principal Solo Cellist of the Bergen Philharmonic. As a soloist he has played concerts with the Mozart Orchestra, the Bremen Philharmonic and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestras, and more. He is a member of the Trio Clemente, which was awarded the ARD Music Competition in 1998, and with which he has performed at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, London's Wigmore Hall and New York's Carnegie Hall. He is a founding member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra.
